Dear 2014 National RES Attendees:
On behalf of the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED) and its Board of Directors, it is my distinct honor and privilege to welcome you to the 2014 National Reservation Economic Summit (National RES), Business Tradeshow, Business Matchmaking, Procurement Expo and American Indian Art Market. We are thrilled to have you in attendance and are again pleased to present National RES from the beautiful Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in exciting Las Vegas, Nevada.
Our National RES 2014 theme, “Honoring Our Past…Defining Our Future” is as relevant this year, as it was last year. It is again woven into every aspect of our event. The mounds of Cahokia are again brought alive here at National RES to remind us that, we as Indigenous people have traditionally utilized our intellect and resourcefulness in order to travel and trade globally. Business is not new to Indian Country. Entrepreneurship is not new to Indian Country. This year we have again infused American Indian culture into our premier business gathering. You will hear, see and feel Indian Country at National RES. In this way, National RES honors those who have come before us.
On Monday at National RES 2014, we have added a full day of content to our agenda that includes our National Center Energy Forum, breakout sessions and trainings; providing you even more access to the vast economic opportunities that exist across Indian County! From Native American entrepreneurs starting up their first company, to the most sophisticated billion dollar tribal enterprises… There is a wealth of opportunity for you to network, explore and discover. We encourage you to seriously discuss, reflect and strategize with colleagues, each day, on ways we can all further empower the economy of Indian Country. The business we do today enables future generations to realize and live the dream of entrepreneurism and business success. We all have a part to play in, “Putting Indian Country to Work”.
In addition to the networking events and opportunities, our general and breakout sessions, forums and keynotes will feature some of the best minds in Indian Country on a variety of contemporary and emerging topics; including energy, telecommunications and global enterprise. I urge you to plan your week carefully and not miss out on any breakout sessions, forums or trainings that are relevant to your personal or professional interests.
And finally, to make your overall National RES experience the absolute best… DOWNLOAD our “RES Events” Mobile APP from the App Store or from Google Play and navigate National RES right from your smart phone or device.
The NCAIED hopes that you will have an incredible experience of empowerment, creativity and innovation here at National RES 2014 and we look forward to meeting you all!
